Synopsis

Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) é uma jovem americana que mora em Los Angeles e vive uma vida simples de fazer compras e ser líder de torcida da Hemery High School. Porém, tudo muda quando um misterioso homem, Merrick Jamison-Smythe (Donald Sutherland), a informa de que ela é a escolhida para eliminar os vampiros da face da terra. Buffy não acredita no começo, mas aceita ser treinada, trocando seus pom-pons por estacas de madeira e passando as noites a combater as hordas de Lothos (Rutger Hauer). Durante seu treinamento, Buffy se torna amiga de Oliver Pike (Luke Perry), que teve seu amigo transformado em vampiro.
